Geoff Coates
Scientific Chair & Co-Founder
Geoff is the Tisch University Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Cornell University. He leads the Coates Research Group whose focus is the development of new synthetic strategies for producing polymers of defined structure. Geoff is the scientific cofounder of Novomer and Ecolectro. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from Wabash College, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University, and performed a post-doctorate at the California Institute of Technology. Geoff is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Inventors.
Abraham Jordan
Senior Scientist
Abe is leading compatibilizer research and development at Intermix. Prior to Intermix, Abe worked at Danimer Scientific advancing their biodegradable polymers made from carbonylation technology. Trained as a synthetic organometallic chemist, he received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology before performing a post-doctorate at Columbia University studying quantum dots for solid-state lighting technologies. Abe earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the Virginia Military Institute.
Ting-Wei Lin
Scientist
Ting-Wei is a postdoc in the Coates Group at Cornell University. His research focuses on block copolymer synthesis for improved properties. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University and received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Cornell. He is responsible for carrying out the R&D work for Intermix.
